Indonesia's economy is one of the world's largest major developing economies in Southeast Asia and the third largest in Asia after China and India.  The country's economy places Indonesia as the world's 16th largest economy. Each region in Indonesia must have a different economic situation.  Sukabumi is one of the regions with a significant economy in Indonesia.  This time I will explain the different facts in this year about the economy in the city and district of Sukabumi.

 Based on data from the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Investment of Sukabumi City in 2010, it was found that companies that had licenses increased by 7.67%, from 4,899 companies in 2009 to 5,275 companies in 2010. Of the 5,275 companies owning  The permit consists of 154 large companies, 519 medium companies and 4,602 small companies. While the number of companies submitting Requests for Company Registration in 2010 decreased by 32.35% compared to 2009.

 Hospitality activities in the city of Sukabumi can be seen from the many accommodation companies and guests who stay. In 2010, there were 33 accommodation companies in Sukabumi City, consisting of 598 rooms and 875 beds.

  Meanwhile the number of guests who stayed in 2010 was 107,679 people consisting of 2,794 foreign tourists and 104,885 domestic tourists. The number of guests staying was 35.54% compared to 2009, which totaled 38,275 people. When viewed per district, it can be seen that guests staying at hotels, still dominated in the Cikole District area, reaching 68.94%. This is possible because the Cikole Subdistrict region is located in the center of Sukabumi City.

  While tourism activities in the City of Sukabumi are relatively still very small. In total only 2 attractions were recorded, 47 youth inns, 6 swimming pools and several other tourism businesses which include billiards, golf, karaoke, and many more.

The economic growth of Sukabumi Regency is currently still above the national average.  Sukabumi Regency's economic growth is around 5.27, up from the previous year in the range of 4, above the national economic average of 5.17.  "The biggest contribution to the economic growth of Sukabumi Regency is agriculture, rice types, tubers and other secondary crops.

The government will continue to strive to stabilize food and vegetable prices on the market through the regional implants control team. In collaboration with Bank Indonesia and the Ministry, whose role is how to stabilize food prices on the market, one of which is technically through market operations,"

The economy is the heart of hope and society depends on it for survival and on the economy we can also be a society that can be called grateful for what God has given.

Beside that, hospitality activities in the regency of Sukabumi is more visited than in the city area, because now there are many interesting tourist attractions in Sukabumi Regency.  In 2018 it was noted that more than 70 hotel accommodation companies.

Increasing the level of social welfare of the population is one way to realize the noble ideals of independence, namely to advance the general welfare and intellectual life of the nation.  Development that is oriented only to the economy leaves many crucial problems such as poverty, unemployment and also the inequality of development outcomes.  Many developing countries in their development history have a good record in achieving their economic development, but failed to improve the level of welfare for their people.  Development that only focuses on economic progress alone has been proven not only to provide suboptimal results from the development process itself but also to show that there are many imbalances or disparities in society.
